This whole section is based upon our Excel Add-Ins software such as the Mail Merge and Label Merge software tools; for the other software we offer - simply follow the instructions given for those.

For the recent versions of our software you simply click on the option in the advanced options window.

Alternatively you achieve the same result (watch a video) as follows:

1. Remove the menu items by downloading (right-click, save and then open) this workbook (enabling macros when prompted) and when you open it you will then be prompted to delete each PATools menu item before the workbook self-closes. You can then immediately delete this workbook.

2. Close Excel and delete the original software file you downloaded (eg PATMM.xls)

For earlier versions of our software you may need to contact us for assistance as recent versions of Windows and Excel have forced us to change the install and uninstall procedures.

Trouble-shooting

Menu items still show for PATools

Occasionally (depending on how you uninstall our software) you may be left with PATools menu items that no longer work or you no longer require.

Simply download (right-click and save) this workbook (enabling macros when prompted) and when you open it you will then be prompted to delete each PATools menu item before the workbook self-closes. You can then immediately delete the workbook.

Alternatively you can do it manually as follows:

For Excel 2003 and previous versions you can manually delete menu items as follows:

1. With a blank workbook open in Excel go to Tools | Customize
2. Select the PATools menu item(s) you no longer require and drag them away from the menu into the workbook area
3. Select the 'Close' button in the Customise dialog box
4. You should then immediately close Excel and re-open it so it permanently saves this change

For Excel 2007 or later you need to open our software from the menu item, then close it, and then press ALT + F8. In the top box enter RemovePAToolsMenu and click on Run, where you will then be prompted to delete each PATools menu item.
